PSW Power & Automation aquire Trans Construction AS

As part of the strategy to strengthen the position within modular based power systems, PSW Power & Automation has entered into an agreement to acquire Trans Construction AS. Trans Construction AS is a leading engineering company with extensive track record and which has specialized itself on design and production of E-house modules to the maritime-, offshore and onshore based industry. PSW’s products and systems within electrification are module-based units and the company are experiencing great growth in the demand for this type of modules both in Norway and internationally.

“By merging Trans Construction into PSW Group, the company sees great synergies and opportunities to take a larger position in the market. The acquisition furthermore creates the foundation for increased market share within module-based units for battery systems, hydrogen power systems, shore power and E-house modules for offshore wind,” says Eirik Sørensen, General Manager in PSW Power & Automation.

CEO PSW Group, Oddbjørn Haukøy, is very pleased to have Trans Construction AS on the team and says this will support the good work that has been executed in PSW Power & Automation to develop market leading products and services within electrification. The acquisition is strategically important for PSW to further enhance its position as leading player within hybridization and shore power, and furthermore become a vital component to growth within offshore wind. Through the acquisition PSW has secured a higher level of in-house deliveries and by doing so increase the size of the value chain created and in addition will allow for the company to reach its set goals for increased growth. The company will become a subsidiary company of PSW Power & Automation.
