PSW Power & Automation recently signed a contract with Kongsberg Maritime for the integration of a hybrid solution onboard the maritime training vessel MS Gann. The vessel, which previously operated as Hurtigruten`s MS Narvik, will undergo a comprehensive retrofit and become a future-orientated ship with environmental benefits when the project is completed Q2-2022.
Our delivery consists of the integration of a hybrid solution from Kongsberg Maritime, both electrical and mechanical, complete yard stay and coordinating classification society.
The upgrade will not only boost the green credentials of the ship but also give the students onboard MS Gann training and solid grounding in sustainable and modern vessel electrical systems. During the summer months, MS Gann will offer cruises and run with reduced emissions in Norway and Northern Europe.
