PSW Power & Automation has entered into an agreement with Fjuel Nordkapp AS for turnkey shore power solution at Kystrutekaien, in central Honningsvåg.
The contract covers engineering, delivery, and commissioning of a complete containerized Onshore Power System (OPS) that will supply Coastal Express Ships and other vessels with emission‑free power while at berth.
At the core of the delivery is a 2,5 MVA system supplying vessels with shore power in accordance with IEC 80005-3 standard for low voltage. The facility will serve coastal route vessels from Havila and Hurtigruta and other larger vessels calling at Honningsvåg.
The project marks an important step toward greener maritime operations in Northern Norway. By connecting vessels to land‑based power instead of running onboard engines at quay, the facility eliminates significant CO₂ emissions, noise, and local air pollution.

Fjuel Nordkapp AS is a partnership between Fjuel Nord AS and Port of North Cape working to realize new shore power facility with funding from Enova.
