Four of SEACOR Marine`s PSVs are to be equipped for battery hybrid operation by installing Kongsberg Maritimes energy storage system.
Our part of the agreement is to design, produce, assemble, and test the containerized deck-house modules.
Installing a battery power system onboard a ship can reduce the fuel consumption by as much as 20% when operating in DP mode. In addition, there is a connection to shore power when in port, of course.
