We have recently completed an upgrade of an existing shore power installation at Fjordbase.
The system has been enhanced with
- a new and modern control system
- user‑friendly HMI screens on the quays
- a comprehensive service inspection to ensure high reliability and uptime
In addition, the shore power system has been integrated with Fjordbase’s overarching digital systems – in this case Fjuel
Through real‑time data, the port now has improved insight into operation, availability, and energy consumption, enabling better utilization of the facility and more informed decision‑making.
Vessels can charge battery packages while alongside and shut down their diesel engines during port stays.
This results in:
- improved working condittins for crew
- reduced fuel costs for operators
- a significantly better environment for everyone
