PSW Power & Automation is a leading provider of energy solutions in the Nordics and has been awarded a contract for an advanced energy control solution in addition to delivering a battery storage system to ASKO OSLOFJORD AS.
ASKO is working on an ambitious electrification project for its delivery fleet. The goal is to achieve zero-emission distribution of groceries by 2026. ASKO currently operates 600 trucks daily and aims to transition to battery-electric trucks to meet this goal. This requires an energy solution that coordinates and optimizes energy production and consumption.
The energy control solution will integrate route-to-marked for balancing services, dynamic control of fast charging, solar energy production and battery storage.
PSW will integrate electric truck fleet management with coordination and prediction of charging needs with consequential optimalisation of energy production and grid stabilization.
“When combining information from upcoming charging needs, anticipated solar energy production, grid reserve capacity needs, and electricity prices we can maximize the battery storage investment through effective planning and asset optimization,” says Jens Hjorteset, Director Business Development in PSW Power & Automation.
This project is part of ASKO OSLOFJORD AS’s broader sustainability efforts, which include investments in renewable energy and energy-efficient solutions. It’s a significant step towards reducing the carbon footprint of grocery distribution in Norway.
