We have signed a contract with an energy company in Sweden, for the supply of a Battery Energy Storage Solution (BESS) project in Sweden.
The solution includes transformers, inverters and battery storage with a total capacity of 2MW/2.2MWh. The heart of the system is the unique energy control system that provides market leading dynamic regulation of grid, battery and solar. In addition to providing power and energy control the system will be used for Frequency Containment Reserves (FCR) and Fast Frequency Reserve (FFR).
Sweden anticipates more than doubling its electricity consumption over the next twenty-five years and has set ambitious targets to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045. The energy system will be designed to store surplus energy and release it as needed, thereby maintaining a stable and energy-efficient power grid across the region.
The project will start immediately, and delivery will take place in Q2-2025.
“This delivery represents a significant milestone for our Energy Control platform that will combine renewable energy production with grid balancing services”, says Eirik Sørensen, Managing Director of PSW Power & Automation.
